Best Class in 100 Days at Sea: Every Class & Tier List

Updated 2026-09-02 · Roblox 100 Days At Sea

The short version: the best class in 100 Days at Sea is Alien Overlord. It is a 6-star class that starts with both the UFO (the S-tier boat) and the Ray Gun (50 damage, infinite ammo, one of the best guns in the game), and it gives +20% gun damage on top. Classes are bought in the lobby with pearls, rated 1 to 6 stars, and higher-star classes are far stronger than cheap ones, so the community advice is to save up for a 6-star class instead of buying a weak one first. No class has a debuff, so any class beats being classless. Only one class can be equipped at a time. Shop stock is random per player; an out-of-stock class cannot be bought until it returns, but you can always play any class you own.

Class tier list (our opinion)

The Fandom Classes page ranks only one thing explicitly: 6-star classes are strongest, Alien Overlord above all. The rest is our reading of each class's starting gear, using the numbers on the weapons and boats pages. Star ratings and prices for most classes are not documented yet.

Playing classless

Classless means no class equipped. There is no bonus for it; the wiki states every class is better than none. A classless run leans on in-game gear:

  • Buy the Rifle from the MukuMuku merchant for 150 doubloons and craft an ammo factory for ranged damage.
  • Build Spike Traps (5 metal, 5 wood, 5 glue), called the best mid-game defence "if you lack offensive power (e.g. no class)".
  • Daily quests (5 to 10 pearls each) are "reasonably achievable even without class", so you can farm pearls toward a 6-star class.

"Gemfarm classless" matches nothing in the sources: there is no gem currency in 100 Days at Sea, only pearls, so any gem farm is community-reported, unconfirmed. The documented boss den farm (a seed with a boss den near base, no bonfire fuel, kill the boss, restart) is noted to work mainly with strong offensive classes, so it is not a classless method.

How to afford a 6-star class

Prices for 6-star classes are not documented yet. One wiki contributor bought Alien Overlord in about a week by logging in daily, playing one long low-risk game, killing bosses, and clearing badges and daily quests. Badges (up to 20-30 pearls each), the 40-pearl group chest, daily login, daily quests (5 to 10), bosses (5 each) and rare codes are the sources, all paying about 1.5x on weekends. Full breakdown on the pearls page.

Fisherman and Professor Erik

Fisherman is an NPC on the big island about 50m in front of base, guarded by two Buku tribesmen. Free him and every player gets a fishing rod plus the hut chest, which always holds a Dinghy. He then trades fish for items; the trades are identical every game, and each player can complete them separately.

Machete and Blunderbuss are the same weapons the Swordsman and Pirate classes start with, so classless players should prioritise those trades. See food for cooking each fish.

Professor Erik is a survivor NPC on an uncommon island, about to be sacrificed by the Ghost Pirates. Rescue him and he teleports to your raft, shreds materials, and fuels the bonfire when wood or gasoline is dropped on it. Like every rescued survivor he adds +1 to the day multiplier.
