Boats Tier List: Fastest Boat, UFO & Raft Teleport Formula

Updated 2026-09-02 · Roblox 100 Days At Sea

The short version: the fastest boat in 100 Days At Sea is the UFO (max speed 100, instant acceleration), then the Jetski (80). The Raft is the slowest usable boat at 16. You get the UFO either as the starting item of the Alien Overlord class or from the chest on the UFO alien island after repairing the broken UFO with five Alien Repair Matrix cards. To use it, hold the UFO item in your hotbar; you are instantly inside and flying, and you leave it by holding another item. As for the "raft teleport formula" people search for: nothing in the game's documentation describes any teleport formula for the raft or any other boat.

Boats are the main way to travel between islands. Every usable boat starts as an item in your inventory and is placed on the water (the UFO is the exception; it is never placed). The last boat you used is pinned on screen so you can find it again.

Boat tier list (usable boats)

The Fandom ranking is based mainly on max speed and mobility; passenger count and cargo matter little once every player has their own boat.

Notes from the source page:

  • Anglerfish speed is 40. The Raft cannot outrun it. Slightly faster boats (Dinghy, Galleon) only hold a constant distance; the Jetski, Yacht and UFO pull away.
  • The Crafting page lists the Galleon as a 5-seat boat "as fast as the Dinghy", while the Boats page gives 6 seats and speed 45. The pages disagree, so the Galleon's seat count is unconfirmed.
  • The Boats page says the Jetski and Yacht can be bought from the MukuMuku merchant. The NPCs page only lists the merchant's noteworthy items (about 20 item types in total), and boats are not among them, so the doubloon price is not documented yet.

Class boats come with the class purchase in the lobby. The Classes page singles out Alien Overlord as the strongest pick because it gives both the UFO and the Ray Gun weapon.

Which boat should you use at each stage

  • Day 1: Free the fisherman on the island about 50m from base (kill the two Buku warriors guarding him). The hut chest then always gives a Dinghy, so never craft a Raft.
  • Early to mid game: Craft a Jetski or buy one from the merchant. The Crafting page calls it the second-best boat and recommends it unless a class gives you something better.
  • End game: The UFO, described as "meta": fastest, most mobile, and always in your inventory.
  • Group runs: A Yacht (5 seats) or the Millionaire's Massive Luxury Yacht (8 seats). The Galleon is rated "excessively big, slow, and with low mobility, though cool", so craft it for looks only.

The UFO

Where to get the UFO

There are two documented sources:

  1. Alien Overlord class. The UFO is a starting item. Players on this class who also finish the UFO island get a second UFO.
  2. UFO alien island. Alien islands are summoned with an alien transponder, which drops every time you repel an alien raid during the nights. The island spawns about 3km from base with a broken UFO in the centre and 6 Alien Repair Matrix cards around it, guarded by Buku Bukus (the card next to the UFO has a single alien warrior). Bring at least 5 of the 6 cards to the broken UFO. It flies off, a chest appears, and opening it puts the UFO item straight into the inventory of every player who opens it (badge: "Grand Theft UFO"). There are four alien islands and each appears only once per run, so you may need several alien raids before this one shows up.

How to use the UFO

  • Hold the UFO item from your hotbar. You are instantly inside and can fly. Stop by holding any other item.
  • It is never placed on the water, so you cannot leave it behind.
  • It cannot be used in dungeons: the Ghost Galleon and the Corruption dungeon.
  • Equip it under a structure (under an oil rig, inside the ice mountain) and you appear with the UFO above the structure.
  • It sometimes gets stuck in a structure when equipped. Re-equip it, sometimes after moving slightly away.

Raft teleport formula

"Raft teleport formula 100 days at sea" is a common boat search, and there is no supported answer. The Fandom Boats, Crafting and Islands pages contain no formula, command or coordinate rule that teleports a raft or a player back to base. Any "formula" posted elsewhere is community-reported, unconfirmed. Mechanics that get confused with a raft teleport:

MechanicWhat actually happens
Pinned boatYour last used boat is pinned on screen so you can find it. It does not move to you
SurvivorsRescuing a survivor teleports the survivor to your base, not you
Corrupt PortalCrafted (50 metal, 50 wood) after beating the Corruption dungeon once; lets you enter the dungeon from where the portal is placed, such as your base

The documented way to get home fast is a fast boat, not a teleport: the UFO or Jetski.

Cosmetic boats

These are boat-shaped structures players cannot drive. The Cargo Ship and Ghost Galleon are classified as islands on this wiki.

Cosmetic boatWhen it appears
Sinister VesselsSail into your base during ghost pirate raids
Ghost GalleonSummoned with the Galleon Bell; also sails through your base on higher-day ghost pirate raids and fires cannonballs at players
Cargo ShipArrives on the 5th in-game day (multiplier not counted); the origin of the corruption mechanic
MukuMuku merchant's raftThe merchant sails in on a raft some mornings and sells items for doubloons
Buku boatsDuring Buku tribe attacks the Buku Bukus chase you on wilder-looking rafts, dinghies and jetskis
UFOs on alien islandsEvery alien island except Glorbus has at least one cosmetic UFO; a cosmetic UFO also hovers above base during alien raids

Crafting notes

All boats except the UFO, Gunboat, Plane and Massive Luxury Yacht are crafted at the base crafting table with no craft limit, using metal, wood and goop (some Fandom pages call it glue). See materials for where to farm them. The Crafting page lists the Raft under tier 1. By its position in that page's tier table, the Dinghy sits under tier 3, the Jetski under tier 5, and the Yacht and Galleon under tier 7 (inferred from table layout, so treat as community-reported, unconfirmed). See the beginner guide for the bonfire levelling order.
