Entities List: Rivals, Rival Rigs, Pirates & Sea Monsters

Updated 2026-09-02 · Roblox 100 Days At Sea

Entities in 100 Days at Sea are every non-player character you can damage and kill. Only seagulls and crows are passive. Everything else is hostile and splits into eight enemy types: ghost pirates, Buku tribe, rival survivors, corrupt creatures, aliens, sea monsters, biome creatures, and animals. Bosses have their own page: all bosses.

Rivals are the human survivors with swords and guns found on the three radio tower islands (5 each) and on the three rival rigs. Press the transponder on any radio tower to locate a rig: the first press spawns the small rig (4 rivals), the second the big rig (8 rivals), the third the huge rig (15 rivals). Melee rivals always drop a stew, ranged rivals always drop ammo, and each rig's purple chest unlocks a container structure that raises your day multiplier.

Every entity also drops essences, so they are not repeated below. HP and damage values are approximate client-side measurements, not code values.

Non-hostile entities

EntityHPDropNotes
SeagullLowest in game; one-shot by the harpoon (1.5 dmg)Cooked bird, sometimes essencesFlies low enough to harpoon or shoot
CrowSame as seagullCooked bird, sometimes essencesSame behaviour as seagull

Harpooning a bird drags the meat back to you, so birds are a free food source. Penguins are not entities (they cannot be damaged) and fishing catches are only an animation.

Rival survivors and rival rigs

Rivals live on islands with giant satellite dishes (radio towers) and on the oil rigs those towers point you to.

Rival typeApprox. HPGuaranteed dropWhere
Rival survivor (melee)100-1401 stewRadio tower islands, all three rigs
Rival survivor (ranged)Not documented yetAmmoRadio tower islands, all three rigs; keep moving to dodge shots

Melee rivals on the huge rig carry a ghost cutlass instead of a knife. Rivals show up with different swords and guns on different visits.

Huge rig15 (10 melee, 5 ranged)4 big crates, 2 pallets, 5 gas drums, 2 junk engines, 2 metal beams, 2 chests, 7 doubloon chestsOutpost

Rig notes:

  • Rig order (small, big, huge) depends only on how many transponders you have pressed, not which tower you use. You can press it without killing the rivals.
  • The small rig is usually visible from base; the big and huge rigs spawn further out.
  • Rig doubloon chests pay around 7-8 doubloons instead of the usual 15.
  • Each container item can be crafted once discovered. A second copy does not raise the multiplier. Place them on the fisherman's island so special nights cannot destroy them.
  • The badge "There can be only one" is for defeating all 3 rival rigs in a single session.

The first night of every run is a ghost pirate raid. Corpses go into the crafting table for +1 glue each.

Buku raids happen in daytime with no warning and do not stop the timer. They are low-threat unless you are AFK. The Poku Poku is slightly better than a machete; see weapons.

The Anglerfish

The Anglerfish is a special case: it cannot be killed as far as anyone has confirmed, but the ice staff auto-targets it, so the game treats it as an entity. It appears every night and vanishes at morning. Outside the bonfire's limits it chases players, its eyes and lamp turn red, it bites, and your screen glitches when it is close. It can leave the water, cross islands, and fly to reach raised dungeons (not the corruption dungeon). Step inside the bonfire's limits and it switches to another player outside; if everyone is safe it wanders aimlessly. An Angler Flare draws it in and makes it passive for about 10 seconds. Some challenge modifiers make it stronger.
